Library Media Center
Welcome to the Library Media Center!
Dorchester District Two libraries strive to support and enhance the district’s mission of leading the way, every student, every day through relationships, rigor and relevance. We do this by providing access to library books and instructional materials as well as teaching lessons to support all areas of the curriculum.
It is our goal to assist members of the learning community to become effective and ethical users of ideas and information, to develop the skills necessary for independent life-long learning and to have a love of reading for pleasure and personal growth.

About Your Library Staff
Hello! It is a joy to help students discover their passion for reading.
My favorite quote from children’s literature is “There is nothing sweeter in this sad world than the sound of someone you love calling your name.” – The Tale of Despereaux.
My background includes a BA in Elementary Education from Clemson University. I earned a Masters in Literacy from the University of South Carolina in 1989 and a Masters in Library and Informational Science from Clarion University in 2019. Before my work in the Media Center, I was a classroom teacher for 25 years.
I enjoy serving as the Assistant Media Specialist at WRES.
Prior to this position I was a substitute here at WRES. I enjoy helping students find books that are just right for them.
There’s nothing better than seeing a hesitant reader grow to love books!
